Bicyclists have the luxury of choosing from campgrounds, motels, hotels, shoreline parks, bed & breakfasts, or charming country inns. Participate in an organized tour with one of the many available bicycle touring companies, or pedal on your own with a bike rental from one of the area's bicycle shops found in the Valley, most of which provide repairs and/or supplies.

The area abounds in first-class restaurants, many of them chef-owned and devoted to fresh, locally-grown ingredients, as well as international cuisine. Food and supplies are readily available at family-owned farmstands, and well-stocked general stores provide a delectable selection of unique, locally-made products. Ferry service provides a means for bicycling loops and easy access to both sides of the Lake. Amtrak also makes local stops along the shoreline with a special baggage car for carrying bicycles available on most trains. To get to the region, a traveler can choose mass transit and arrive via an Amtrak train, a motorcoach, or any of a number of airlines that service the area.
